Claude is a passionate and and committed theatre practitioner, manager, executive consultant and artist. Most of my work and experiences have been about finding ways to help organizations change. Often change is related to growth in one area or another but it can also be about finding a better way to operate with a clearer understanding of what you are organizationally, who you serve and how you can evolve into your best self as a creative entity.
Producer, Co-writer and Director
Claude has been producing live theatre, large-scale festivals, concerts, cultural events and performance-based programing for over 20 years. A theatre director and playwright at heart Claude loves telling stories with words,
Music and Dance. Currently working with a number of organizations (Kahilu Theatre HI, First Impressions Theatre BC and The Capitol Theatre PA) as a consultant Claude helps theatre companies and not-for-profit cultural presenting organizations with vision and strategic planning, succession planning, operational processes and large donor naming innitiatives.
Claude has been Artistic Director at Keyano Theatre Company (KTC) in Fort McMurray Alberta for 5 seasons! At KTC he’s directed ALL SHOOK UP, THE FARNSWORTH INVENTION, HOMETOWN THE MUSICAL (co-writer and creator), LES MISERABLE, ON A FIRST NAME BASIS and GOODNIGHT LADIES.
Other directing credits include CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, THE FULL MONTY, OKLAHOMA, THE ODD COUPLE, THE PRODUCERS, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIRE DE LUNE and ALL SHOOK UP (4 productions).
Mr Giroux has been an artistic director for five theatres (THEATRE NEW BRUNSWICK, PLAYHOUSE MERCED, THE ALLENBERRY PLAYHOUSE, NORTHERN LIGHTS PLAYHOUSE and most recently THEATREK at The Kay Meek Centre in West Vancouver BC) spanning over 17 seasons.
Claude is also an avid adaptor of plays and has written two recently produced adaptations of A CHRISTMAS CAROL in addition to SLEEPING BEAUTY, CINDERELLA and HOMETOWN THE MUSICAL in Fort McMurray.
In Fall of 2017 Claude’s award winning production of ALWAYS PATSY CLINE WILL TOUR British Columbia and Alberta and he will also direct the Canadian Premiere of END OF THE RAINBOW by Peter Quilter March of 2017.
